Metamorphosis
Tangled sticks bud softly into blossom-laden boughs.
Birds gather tufts of pampas grass in finicky beaks.
Black clumps of fur dot an over-vacuumed rug.
Bare white feet slip on well-worn flip-flops.
Plump rabbits loll in the fleeting sunshine.
Morning light inspires hands to plant.
Frog eggs evolve in a sleepy pond.
Pink clothes plead to be worn.
Sky surprises with blue.
Pollen falls thickly.
Life begins.
Spring!
